OKC Ambassador Program

The collaboration between the NextGen under 30 Foundation and RiverSports OKC to launch the Oklahoma RIVERSPORTS Ambassador Program in 2025 is a fantastic initiative. This program will offer the large network of NextGen under 30 Honorees the unique opportunity to:

  • Become Official Ambassadors and Volunteers: Leveraging their NextGen leadership and community commitment.

  • Support Major International Events: Specifically, the 2026 World Championship OKC River Events (ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships) and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games (where OKC will host Canoe Slalom events)

  • Our Mission: To provide NextGen Honorees with a volunteer leadership opportunity for world-class sporting events.

  • The NextGen Ambassadors are a volunteer peer-outreach group that encourages the NextGen involvement of individuals across the state. They represent the mission and values of the NextGen Oklahoma Leaders and NextGen Under 30 movements in their communities and to their personal and professional associates.

  • Ambassadors serve principally as an advisory group from local communities. They provide the essential two-way communication that ensures the NextGen Oklahoma Leaders Program is relevant and improving. continuously.

  • Ambassadors share an optimistic vision of Oklahoma’s future and recognize that it takes effort to realize that vision. Ambassadors encourage nominations in the NextGen Under 30 recognition program and might be offered an opportunity participate in the annual NextGen Under 30 Awards Ceremony on the event team.

  • Ambassadors help raise interest in NextGen Leaders one-day regional leadership workshops and other events. As these events grow, local ambassadors will have the opportunity to assist with developing and presenting programs in their area.

People Career Connect provides One-on-One mentoring, Peer-to-Peer mentoring and Group Mentoring for university, college, career tech, students and alumni. Also available to companies, associations, and other organizations.

The agreement is for one year, but can go on indefinitely. It is up to the two parties involved.

People Career Connect utilizes state of the art AI and personality profiling to match mentors with mentees, taking into account mentees' goals and alumni expertise.

Question 4: When can we launch our mentorship program?

People Career Connect should be ready to launch late Fall of 2025, so a January 2026 launch of your program is ideal. While we are finishing up our platform, you can be promoting the program to both students and alumni, and gaining commitments from those alums ready and willing to help.
